Lemonade "Tea Party"

Ella's friend Jade invited her to a Lemonade Tea Party. Jade is fast becoming Ella's best friend because they go to school together and see each other at church. Ella was very excited that she could go to the party and that the boys were not invited! There were 8 little girls in all and they had a lovely time.

Best Friends

On Sunday, Sam and Ella participated in our Ward Primary Program. They did a great job. Ella sang "I am a child of God" with her Sunbeam class and Sam got to say how much he loves playing with his brother Ella (he always gets that mixed up!!).

Here they are just before church...

And this morning, Sam and Ella had their first day at pre-school. Most schools here in Georgia went back in early August, so we have been anxiously waiting for theirs to start. They are attending a pre-school at a High School where the high school students teaching the class are taking early childhood education. So there are more "teachers" than little kids. They both LOVED their fist day and are very excited to go again tomorrow. Here they are just before heading out the door this morning. And while Sam and Ella were at pre-school, Owen and Elliott got to spend a quiet morning with Mum. Here they are hanging out together....

Sam-the-fix-it-man

Sam loves to have a screw driver in his hand taking things apart to see how they work. He has got very good at this and can often take apart a toy and put it back together again. A couple of weeks ago I found him with a new baby toy a friend had given to us for Elliott. He had all the parts laid out on the floor and quite clearly was not going to be able to put it all back together again! This has become such an obsession that I have had to start hiding the screw drivers and he has likewise, been found hiding a "spare one" in his bedroom.

This talent comes in handy though, here is a picture of Sam putting the vacuum cleaner back together after we had replaced one of the belts yesterday. And the one below is of him "tinkering" with one of his toy cars today.

And here are a couple of funny shots of Ella and Owen wearing pipe cleaner glasses. Owen is a wild 2-year old at the moment and knows want he wants. On the afternoon these picture were taken he had decided that clothes were not an option!

Thankful that we have our life back!

"And we're thankful that Dad has a new car and that we can have our life back." This is what Sam said in his prayers last week after Chris finally found a new car that fit our criteria. After 4 weeks without a car during the day the kids and I were very grateful to have the minivan back so that we could get back to our usual routine.

Here's a picture of the new car... It's a 2000 Honda Civic that was previously owned by a grandma in Florida. It only has 48,000miles (77,000km). Chris is very happy with his new car. Drive just like the old one, only much nicer and newer (yes even a 9 year old car can feel new!)

Some other random shots downloaded from the camera... The kids "playing" dominos together. They were really just using them as building blocks. I usually don't let them touch any of the "Mum and Dad" games, but after 4 weeks at home I relented!
Elliott sitting up in his new Bumbo chair. He is 4 months old already, time flies! He has Chris's eye color and I think he looks the most like Chris of any of the boys.
Storytime with Dad...

Chris took the kids out with their "rainbrellas" on Sunday evening. They had a great time stomping in the puddles. Even with their umbrellas they came back pretty soaked. This nice thing is that it's warm rain. Not like the cold rain I hear Tassie has been getting!
